„Ženidba kralja Vukašina” u prevodu na engleski D. H. Loua

Cilj ovog rada je analiza engleskog prevoda pesme „Ženidbe kralja Vukašina“ (“The Marriage of King Vukašin”) koji je sačinio Dejvid Haliberton Lou. Prevod ove narodne pesme objavljen je u zbirci pod naslovom The Ballads of Kraljević Marko, koja sadrži epske pesme o Kraljeviću Marku, koji je postao mitski junak, premda su glavni protagonisti ove pesme Markov otac i ujak. Autor analizira upotrebu prevodilačkih tehnika, stil i ostale elemente prevoda poredeći ih sa izvornikom. Za prevod se može konstatovati da je veoma precizan i veran izvorniku, da njegov stil podseća na stil Vordsvortove poezije, iako se zapravo dodiruje sa proznim prevodom.
